Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. My wish for you is that
you have a healthy and safe 2014. We go orward with high hopes for a better new year. We
still are not seeing all our snowbirds back. This past year has been rough for us. I'm sure you
all have noticed the beautiful paint job Gary, Jerry, Joey and Charlie did. This is an old building
and we try to make it as attractive as we can. We have so many fix and repair daily items that it
is hard to have money left over for new things. Anyone wanting to make a donation to our
building repair fund, please see Jerry or myself. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
We have some new entertainment lined up along with our regulars, Rex, Mike, Kim
and Captain. We hope you will like it. We have Dustin and Judy and also Lee and Diane. We
try to have entertainment that appeals to everyone. If you have any suggestions please see me.
We continue to try to have music on Saturday nights per your request but in order to have it we
must have your participation. I will be looking at who is bringing in a crowd. So if you want
these entertainers to continue, please come out and support them.
Retention is still an issue at all the lodges. We need to do everything possible to keep
our members. We are not just a place that has cheap drinks cheap food, free meals for holidays
but more important we are committed to taking care of our children at at Mooseheart and
our seniors at Moosehaven and our local children in need. In order to do this we need members!!!
Don't forget we are still giving new members a $20 savings when they join by not charging
an application fee. If you sign up 2 members before April 30, you can receive a free years
dues. Just think by signing up 2 new members a year you will never have to pay dues again!!
The Women of the Moose bought 270 plus Christmas gifts for local needy children.
They handmade and filled stockings for our military overseas. The also made 100 stockings for
Sun Ridge Retirement village and spent an evening caroling and visiting with them with the
wonderful music provided by Tim. Thanks Tim for donating your time and talent. They also
took homemade cookies. See members we really are about more than just a place to socialize.
Anyone interested in being involved in any of the Women of the Moose activities can see one
of their officers. They would appreciate any help and besides they say they have lots of fun.
Don’t miss out.
In February we have our famous Super Bowl party. Put it on your calendar. The
WOTM are hosting a Sweetheart Ball on February 8 with Dustin and Judy providing the entertainment.
Jerry and Crew will be grilling steaks outside so come on out for a reat meal and a
Moose International is still working on the school renovation. Anyone wanting to
make a donation can do so by sending a check to them or bringing it into the office. We have
almost 300 children attending school there. This is made possible by you our members.
Once again thanks for all you do to make our lodge one of the best and friendliest
lodges in Arizona. Whenever you see someone come in you don't know, take a minute to ask
them where they are from and introduce yourself.

Hello to all, I hope everyone has had a wonderful Holiday Season. As the holidays can
be a stressful time, one can forget to thank people for their hard work to make it great for
all. Please let my heartfelt thanks go out to all, from the LOOM, with their great meals
and hard work refurbishing the Lodge to the WOTM who did decorations and helped to
coordinate all the holiday functions.
We are looking forward to an exciting New Year. With the new look to the Lodge’s
social quarters, that the LOOM accomplished, I feel confident that more members will
sign up new members as they can feel proud of their Lodge’s new look.
The New Year promises a lot of exciting events upcoming. We will still have our Thursday
Night Dinners, so be sure to come down and have a good home cooked meal for a
Our Friday night Fish Fry is still an attraction for members to bring new members
in! So let it be said that we will have a great year in 2014. Just a quick reminder to all, that
we will have our Sweetheart Steak Fry (Steaks grilled by Jerry outside on our grill), on
February 8 followed by music with Dustin & Judy along with dancing. Please be safe out
there and we will see you at the Moose Lodge!

Membership is crucial
to our organization. It is imperative that we
receive change of addresses so that our members
may receive their dues notice and their new
cards. So often someone pays their dues in the
Social Quarter but they donít give new address
and we have no way to get their card to them.
Dues can now be paid on line as well as mailing
them in. We also will take your payment at the
Lodge. If you wish to pay on line yourself all
you have to do is go to
mooseintl.org and hit pay dues. It will allow
you to make your payment with a credit card.
If you let your dues lapse,
you cannot enter your lodge home as a guest
until after 1 year of lapsed dues. Without your
dues paid up you are not able to come into the
lodge or make purchases. Unpaid dues means you
are a member not in good standing.
We hope that with the
privileges your membership gives you, it more
than returns your yearís dues. You receive
reduced prices on purchases, you can get
discounts on rental cars, insurance, car
rentals, medicines and many more items. You have
a safe place to meet with friends. You have the
opportunity to live out your remaining years at
Moosehaven but most of all it gives us a great
feeling of satisfaction in knowing how much our
dues means to the children at Mooseheart and
Moosehaven. Anyone needing more information,
please see me.
If you enjoy your membership
why not encourage your friends to join so they
too can take advantage of all the benefits we
